Owner and designer at Tommy D Creative, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I serve businesses across the state including Aberdeen, Watertown, Madison, Sioux Falls, Rapid City and many cities in between! I build websites and help businesses with all their graphic design, marketing, and content needs. My goal is simple: to make your business look great, communicate clearly, and stand out online.
Alongside Tommy D Creative, I’m also the co-owner of Massenomics - a brand for the gym and strength community that creates apparel, accessories, and a long-running podcast with over 500 episodes.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me in my home gym or spending time with my wife, son, and daughter. I also enjoy walks with our dog Bernie, catching up on podcasts, watching F1 racing, and checking out new shows on HBO or YouTube.

Every project starts with a conversation and ends with a creative solution built around your goals. I keep things simple, transparent, and collaborative, whether you’re here in South Dakota or working with me from anywhere else in the country.
1. Discover
Every great project starts with understanding your business and what challenges you’re trying to overcome. Sometimes that happens in a quick phone call; other times, it takes a few meetings to dig deeper and define exactly what you need to move forward.

2. Plan
Once we know what success looks like, I build the blueprint for your project. You’ll receive a detailed proposal that outlines goals, deliverables, timelines, and pricing. This ensures there are no surprises and everyone is on the same page from the start.

3. Build
With a clear plan in place, it’s time to bring your ideas to life! This stage includes design, development, content creation, and editing - depending on your project needs. We’ll collaborate and refine along the way to make sure everything looks and functions exactly how you want it.

4. Deliver
This is where it all comes together. For web projects, that means launching your new site, testing everything, and providing any training you need. For design or marketing work, it means delivering all final files and assets. I also provide ongoing support. Many of my clients continue working with me for future updates, marketing, and new creative needs.

Why should I choose you for my project?
I’ve been in the design industry since 2010, and started Tommy D Creative in 2018 to help businesses create websites, branding, and marketing that actually make an impact. When you work with me, you’re not just hiring a designer, you’re gaining a creative partner who’s invested in your success.
Along with running Tommy D Creative, I also co-own Massenomics, a nationally recognized brand in the fitness community. Through both ventures, I’ve learned what it takes to build an audience, generate leads, and turn those leads into loyal customers.
Do you only work with South Dakota businesses?
No! While most of my clients are based in South Dakota in places like Aberdeen, Sioux Falls, Watertown, Madison, Brookings, and Rapid City - I also work with companies across the U.S. Everything can be handled easily through email, Zoom, or phone calls.
How long does will it take to build my website?
There are a number of factors that can affect the time it takes to build a website. Most standard website are completed within 3-5 weeks of receiving content and the down payment. I’ll outline a clear timeline in your proposal so you always know what to expect.
What does a new website cost?
This a lot like asking "how much does a house cost?". The answer is, it depends! Do you need a single landing page or a site with dozens of pages and a full CMS implementation or eCommerce features? Do you want your pages to display static content or would you like to see advanced animations and interactions? Do you need help with copywriting and headlines or can we pull from existing marketing materials? These are just a few of the questions that will factor into the final price of the site. I focus on giving small and mid-sized businesses in transparent pricing - no hidden fees or surprises.
Can I make updates to my website?
You absolutely can! I prefer to build websites in a program called Webflow which makes it SUPER easy for you to make updates to the content on your website. As long as you have an internet connection and know your password you can make changes.
Are you the hands-off type? No worries! I have monthly packages available where I can take care of all of your website updates for you.
Will my website be custom built?
Every website is 100% custom built to your business's exact needs and specifications. Your brand, your colors and your content are displayed front and center so you can tell effectively tell your story and convert leads into customers.
Many web designers rely on templates or "themes" to build websites. This limits the options to customize your website and can often result in a generic looking, poor performing site.
My (boss, co-worker, friend, family member, business partner) said I need to build my website in Wordpress, Squarespace, Shopify, Wix, etc.
These are all popular website building tools that come with their own set of pros and cons. Usually, there is a tradeoff between ease of use, security, speed and customizability. After many years in the industry, I have found Webflow to have the best balance of features. Webflow sites can be built quicker, they're easier for you to use and you don't have to worry about expensive monthly maintenance and security bills.
If your website has special needs regarding specific plugins or eCommerce then we may need to look at a different platform but I have found Webflow to be a great fit for the majority of small businesses.
